I've been practicing for nearly 30 years. It's interesting where the source of new information regarding my field will come from. I had a bifocal lens patient who came into my office. He was wearing a type of bifocal contact lens that I stock. This lens is the type that is usually given to somebody in their early 40s. With a little modification, this patient gave me the idea to start fitting this lens to patients in their 50s and above. I had not thought of this before. I have met with good success for this population of patients who want to wear bifocal contact lenses.

I haven't blogged for a while. I was in NYC over the Christmas weekend. I had stayed with my uncle one night. We had to dropped off friends of his in Queens. No mapquest, gps, nothing. We got lost in Queens. My uncle was raised there. We went through some really old areas where my parents and grandparents lived. We went through Elmhurst, Jamaica, Richmond Hill and The Rockaways. My grandparents moved out of there about 45 years ago. To me the area looked the same. My next blog will contain stories about the wonderful blizzard.
